My Process
Dont get me wrong I love scales and exercises, in fact I tend to get a bit excited by them, but there was a time when I didn't enjoy the rudiments of guitar-ing; I just wanted to play. I wanted to be able to play along to the Nirvana and Nick Drake records I was listening to.I know a lot of people feel how I did when I started: a bit overwhelmed by the prospect of playing and the legion of guitar posers who make you feel like a drop in an ocean - I want to encourage you to play what you want to play, not what some book or video or youtube clip says you should be playing. My teaching ideology is student orientated; tell me what you want to do and I will get you there however I see would best suit you.
I teach all styles, belong to the musicians union, fully crb checked, Registry of Guitar Teachers registered and have experience working at schools. I am also happy to have parents/siblings sitting in on sessions. All students are welcome to use my guitars, effects pedals and equipment during lessons :)
